Commemoration and remembrance dayOn the occasion of the eighteenth anniversary of the beginning of the NATO aggression against Yugoslavia, the Museum will organize a public forum 24th and 25th March 2017.
Flight of Dragoljub Aleksić
Dragoljub Aleksić (1910-1985) athlete, acrobat and movie enthusiast on April 17, 1940 flew over Belgrade, holding only with teeth for a rope on plane Fizir. Pilot was veteran of the Spanish Civil War, Križaj Jože.
This feat and many others, Aleksic recorded in his movie "Nevinost bez zaštite" (Innocence unprotected) wich was filmed during the occupation and the premiere was show in Belgrade cinemas in 1942. This movie was the first soud feature made in Yugoslavia.

One of the ordinary activities of the museum are the works on cleaning the exhibits. This highly demanding task helped by volunteer from many sides. Besides the the aircraft within the museum building, in the outer circle are cleaned and the passenger jet Caravelle and the seaplane Short Sealand.

The latest flight on the exhibition
Restoration work on glider Vuk-T begun in 2003 with the purpose to be
exhibited in the terminal building of the Belgrade airport, but due to
reconstruction of the terminal building the project was put to hold.
Glider was prepared for exhibiting and was stored in museum depo until
2009 when it was presented to the public at the Belgrade City Fair
within the exhibition "Museum's attraction”.
During 2015 Museum decided
to exhibit Vuk-T during the manifestation "Night of museum 2015” in
order to present soaring as a form of aeronautical sport.
Od prvih putničkih letova 1923. godine na redovnoj liniji Pariz-Istanbul kompanije Franko Rumen preko Pančeva, prve domaće avio-kompanije „Aeroput" iz 1927. godine, JAT-a i drugih kompanija sve do Air Srbije, avionom su povezane daleke destinacije pa i kontinenti. Posetioci mogu sagledati, kroz bogato kulturno nasleđe razvoj avio saobraćaja iz ugla jednog putnika, gde mogu sesti u putničko sedište i „proleteti" kroz istoriju.
